The Civic Association preserves Lansdowne's past, sponsors events and prepares for the community's future. Members promote small town values, historic preservation, upholding aesthetic standards, and environmental responsibility. The GLCA led campaigns to create Sycamore Park (featuring Lansdowne's 350 year old sycamore), restore the Lansdowne World War Monuments and the Lansdowne Railroad Station. They also led the campaigns to establish two National Register Historic Districts in Lansdowne.
